University of Miami's Food Day

For the first annual Food Day on Monday October 24th, the University of Miami's Office of Civic and Community Engagement will present a series of events that promote healthy, affordable, sustainable and just food systems. We will be collaborating with local community partners, including organic farms, nonprofit food justice organizations, faculty members, student groups, sustainable restaurants, and food worker organizations throughout South Florida. Together, we hope to raise awareness about food issues in South Florida and mobilize students to become involved in this cause.

The programming for Food Day includes a farmer's market, community organization fair, discussion panel, and film screenings.

We hope to see you there! The events will be free and open to the public. For more information, please email civicengagement@miami.edu.
