This morning I woke up and decided that I would cook pancakes with the kids. Jackson is almost 5 and Olivia is almost 2. I found myself getting frustrated with the little guys and irritated at the immense mess we were making. For a moment I was wrapped up in the frustration and didn't see the larger picture. Cooking with kids can be fun even though things may not turn out the way you expected. Although we were making a mess the kids were learning how to measure, mix and in the end, learn how to eventually provide for themselves. When we were finished we were able to enjoy the healthy pancakes ( we made them with mashed banana, cinnamon and flax seed as add ins).
What do you like to cook with your kids?
